About Us
Founded in 2019, Blue Hat Construction operates in all markets across the United States, with a specialty in renewable energy. The company provides procurement and construction services, as well as client billing, accounting, and materials acquisition.
Who We Are
A co-founder of Blue Hat Construction, Stacey Hughes has worked in renewable energy development for over ten years. She was previously a Managing Director of Société Générale, in charge of interest rate and currency derivative solutions for corporate clients in North and South America. Ms. Hughes has extensive experience structuring sophisticated financial transactions and executing infrastructure projects. Previously, Ms. Hughes worked in the Capital Markets and Financial Institutions groups at Salomon Brothers. She has a B.S. in Finance from California Polytechnic State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Co-founder Bill Zachary helped with the initial financing of Blue Hat and currently assists with coordinating equipment rental, procurement, and delivery logistics. Bill has over a decade of experience in the renewable energy field and has worked in finance since 1990. Before Blue Hat, Bill worked at Société Générale as the Head of Municipal Finance and previously worked at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. Inc. as the Second Vice President of the Public Finance Division. Bill graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a concentration in Economics and then went on to study at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

Edouard Klehe assisted in the initial financing of Blue Hat. As with Bill and Stacey, Edouard has over a decade of experience in the renewable energy field and a depth of knowledge in the finance sector. Previously, Edouard served as the Managing Director, and then the Vice-President, of the proprietary credit trading and structuring sector at Société Générale. His other work experience includes Asset Management at Caisse des Dépôts, where he served as a financial analyst, and Strategy Consulting at OC&C. Eduoard graduated from the HEC School of Management in Paris, France and is proficient in both Spanish and French.
